The aim of the Shikha development is to establish an eco-learning-learning village in Binika, Western Odisha, on the bank of the Mahanadi river. Initial work on the project began in 2016. There are three main activity strands at Shikha, and thus three types of projects operating under the headlines of “Transformative Education”, “Rural Vitalisation”, and “Interactive Engagement”. All activity strands are linked organically into the eco-learning-village campus, while also working with external partners.

Our infrastructure development has transformed an unused piece of land into an off-grid site by adding solar panels, drip irrigation, a site office, a fish pond, fruit trees, and vegetable gardens.
